Fauna Lodge is located in a beautiful environment about 15 min from Drake Bay. The service was great, the atmosphere relaxing and the food was very good. Fauna Lodge is located in the rain forest and one can see monkeys and different kind of birds every day (tucans, humminbirds, etc.). A very early breakfast is offered for those who start for tours into Corcovado Nationalpark (5:00 am), well appreciated :-)

Beautiful pool and bar area. Great forest location. Lovely staff. Good on-site dining. Very relaxing spot. Much nicer spot for visiting Corcovado than Drake

The accommodation itself was high‑quality, set in an exceptional spot deep in the jungle with a beautiful setting and very welcoming staff. They did suggest a semi‑private trek for $100, which was clearly not worth the price; staying at the lodge was fine, but the extra activities weren’t.

The vibe felt very family‑like and the staff were excellent, and the tours they ran were well organized and led by knowledgeable guides; there was nothing negative to mention.
