I liked the central location and the quiet—no traffic noise, very clean, and the breakfast had everything you need; it’s also close to the city center and the beautiful old town. The stay was perfect.

The communication before the late check‑in was excellent, the public transport links were great, and the Blue‑Doors team was very friendly. However, room EG 3 was right on the street, next to the entrance and the shared toilet, which would be a problem if the place were fuller; October was fine, but I doubt I’d stay there in summer. Those sensitive to noise would have issues. The ceiling light didn’t work, the sofa was stained, and the windows needed cleaning, but I let the Blue‑Doors crew know and they took the feedback constructively. The toilet itself is tiny, and the large paper bin beside the sink doesn’t help; a different layout could fix that. The shower was okay. A bench by the entrance on the sidewalk attracts night walkers who drink beer and act rowdy, so guests are often woken. Moving the bench elsewhere would have been better.

“A very pleasant experience”

The staff were friendly and supportive, and the rooms were clean, but there was no lift to the second floor, so I had to carry my luggage up.

It was completely adequate for a hostel, super central, and the price was absolutely reasonable.

The staff were friendly and the location good. The room matched the booking, but the price for a room without a bathroom and only minimal amenities in such a small space was too high even for Rostock.
