This place is a total scam; don’t be fooled by Xiaohongshu. The photos on Booking show a huge hotel, but it’s actually only about 5 acres, roughly 300 square meters, and the yard is a neglected sandy lot. The rooms are tiny and the bathroom is dim. While waiting for the staff to clean, flies kept swatting at our faces, and no measures were taken against insects. The yard’s little cats were cute, but we didn’t dare touch them. The Arabic uncle’s attitude was mediocre; his English was poor, so communication was tough and he couldn’t grasp our requests. We added a friend and asked if there was an extra room; he said yes, so we waited an hour in the mosquito‑infested yard, only to be told later that the room was already booked. It felt like they wanted us to cancel and pay a fee, wasting two hours of our time. We’d come by night train, exhausted, and this experience was very disappointing. The owner’s attitude was problematic, even twisting our words. He claimed we wanted a refund because no one greeted us upon arrival, which made no sense. Our driver could not stand it. Finally, the hotel seemed to cater only to Chinese guests, advertising specifically to them, which feels disingenuous. We recommend choosing another hotel; we moved on to a better one, which felt like a paradise, and the price was even a few hundred Egyptian pounds cheaper. Ask your driver which hotels are good, let them show you before booking – there are plenty of options here, no need to worry about finding a place.
