Located on Sandvinvatnet Lake between Folgefonna and Hardangervidda National Parks, Trolltunga Camping offers basic guest rooms and cottages with shared or private bathrooms, some featuring kitchen facilities and dining areas. On-site amenities include a laundry room, bicycle and canoe rentals, and fishing licenses. Nearby attractions include Folgefonna National Park, Buarbreen glacier, and the Troll's Tongue lookout point, 5-14 km away.

The apartment was surprisingly quiet even though it sits above the store, camp kitchen, and reception area, and the campground itself is small with the south end hugging a lake between beautiful tall mountains; however, it would have been nice if coffee were provided in the room for free, as we had to buy pods that matched the kitchen machine.

The cabin was well equipped, even with a dishwasher, which was nice, and the campground itself is lovely near the lake, though the cabins are right at the road entrance while the camper and tent spots are much nicer; it was an ideal starting point for Trolltunga and there was a free parking lot, but compared to other accommodations where we paid the same or less, this one felt overpriced.

The place is good, but the price is too high for the type of accommodation.

The campsite is in a nice spot with good beds and a clean room, but the room is very small, sparsely furnished, offers no storage, and feels like a prison cell; the ventilation hums constantly by the window, showering requires an extra fee, the kitchen is unheated and you have to cook in a pot, getting to the sink in the evening was difficult because other guests were there, and when you want to sit and eat the spoons are broken—your only seating option is a covered terrace outside the kitchen, which is fine for the cold 10°C but we would have liked indoor seating; overall I do not recommend it and I was disappointed.
