We felt very comfortable. There was tasty breakfast, the room was very large and very clean. The host Helen is a very kind person and so is the entire staff.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It is a quiet place, but not far from the city centre and busy streets (if you’re looking for that kind of entertainment). For us it was a piece of Bali, a quiet island. Because of the rich nearby vegetation, and with a bit of imagination, you can feel yourself in a safe forest. The hotel seems to be a family business, each member worked hard to provide the best services for their guests. The price of the room was more than OK, comparatively with the conditions. The furniture, the bathroom gave some hints about Balinese culture. It was easy to find the location, and to check in. Even if we arrived very late in the evening! The information provided by the host made it easy to find our room, despite the fact that we arrived much later than the usual check‑in time. There is nothing to complain about. You will get everything you may expect from a relatively small hotel. Usually small hotels might have several disadvantages compared to large ones. You might feel that the staff is not enough trained, there is not enough knowledge and capital for some services. Thus you may sense some weaknesses in cleanliness, lack of diversity of food during meals, no transport/transfer services and so on. But here, it is not the case. Compared to their size the services are 5*.

Staying at Metteya Space felt like a dream, far beyond a mere trip. I was incredibly comfortable and still smile when I think back, tinged with a hint of nostalgia. Helen was amazing from the booking stage, arranging multiple tours before I even arrived so I could make the most of my time in Ubud. Those tours were truly spectacular, showing me magical spots and hidden corners I would never have found on my own. The property itself is gorgeous, tucked away on a quiet side street, far from noise yet conveniently close to Ubud. My room was cleaned daily and everything was always neat and spotless. And the breakfast? Probably the best I’ve ever had while traveling—each day offered a fantastic selection, all delicious. What I’ll cherish most is the vibe, the welcome, and Helen’s kindness. I felt so at home that I even cried when it was time to leave. ❤️ Every part—accommodation, breakfast, tours, sights, and especially the people—was wonderful. I’ll carry this experience in my heart forever, and if I return to Ubud, I’ll have no doubt about where to stay again.
