A warm, personalized welcome; it’s very close to the Château d’Oiron. The original room in the castle tower offers a nice view of the big trees. The breakfast is delicious and the dinner tip is great—perfect.

There’s a pool, a tennis court, and the accommodation itself is very spacious.

The place is special, with genuinely warm hosts. The country house that belongs to the chateau is about 300 m away—a beautiful, quiet oasis. The pool is on the chateau grounds and brand new, with plenty of loungers and a cozy seating area. The hosts also run a small bistro right on the property. They are the kindest, most affectionate hosts we’ve ever met on any of our many holidays. Near the village there’s a tiny shop for everyday items. Remarkably, the area is so peaceful—almost no traffic, just the birds. The garden was not particularly well tended, but that didn’t bother us much.
