1 double bed
We arrived, cancelled the reservation, but the owner didn’t accept and we lost the money. There’s no air conditioning and the walls are paper. You couldn’t stay there in August. It’s more run‑down than the photos show.
The host seems to try to help. Long trips and various snorkeling spots. We had to change direction urgently and chose this homestay. Compared to last year when we planned ahead, everything is very expensive, trips are twice as costly. The food is scanty. We asked for less rice and a small piece of fish or chicken, but she actually gave us empty vermicelli. Breakfast was one egg. We were glad when more guests arrived and they added tasty banana pastries for breakfast. We nostalgically remember last year’s stay with other hosts on the same island, where the food was tasty and varied, tours were cheap, and accommodation was more comfortable. Here your veranda opens onto the street, where you can’t escape the sun and locals keep moving. Last year the terrace on the second floor faced the sea, which was great for beating the heat. But credit goes to the snorkeling trips, which, though pricey, are offered before lunch and after.
“Duch a special stay”
Great stay , so friendly , lovely food and such a sweet village
“Douceur de vivre”
The room was adorable and the welcome was more than family‑like. The alley turns into a little theatre from dawn to dusk. And Aci is the best cook in Sulawesi! It’s a cozy cocoon of sweetness and smiles. Everything is within walking distance in the village. We could have stayed much longer! We’ll come back!
“Great experience! Aci is wonderful!”
Aci is amazing! She goes far out of her way to make sure you’re comfortable and happy. She’s a great cook and the meals were delicious. You’re staying at her home, in the village, so you get the full experience of living as a local. Nothing we didn’t overcome.
