We found the place just outside Ella, which was perfect for us since we weren’t into that vibe; walking in and out or catching a tuk‑tuk is a breeze. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfy and the hot shower great, and the lack of AC didn’t bother us thanks to a stand‑up fan. The family living below were always ready to help, making the atmosphere friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and overall it’s a real gem that I’d highly recommend. The only downside—nothing to do with the property itself—is the constant swarm of tiny black flies that, while harmless, can be irritating when you’re outside; this is probably a universal issue around the area.
