SpringHill Suites by Marriott Lexington Frankfort

The property was clean and in a good spot for distillery tours, and the lovely girl who checked us in was a special shout out.

“The location was perfect for our trip.”

The stay was great! We’ll be back. Breakfast was very good, evening drinks in the lounge were convenient, and the exercise room was well equipped. The pool water was so cold it was not enjoyable; it took all evening to warm back up.

“Avoid the pool”

It was clean, great breakfast, and the room was nice and comfortable. My three teen children (16/18) were in the pool for about 10‑15 minutes, then came out coughing to the point of almost throwing up, with red eyes saying the chemicals were too strong and they were having a hard time breathing. The bartender was the only one who said anything, telling Lauren at the front desk that she would probably need to close it again (again?). Lauren sat at the front desk eating and playing on her phone, doing nothing about the pool, then proceeded to give another guest a pool towel about 10 minutes later. The bartender made the comment, “I knew something was wrong with it when I could smell it out here.” At checkout I was asked how my stay was; I said good except for the pool, “oh yeah, it is hot in there.” No, the chemicals were too strong, and I explained the results, “oh, we will say something to our maintenance again,” so it sounds like this is common and no one seems to care to address it.
