“It was our first stay at a Drury hotel. Definitely also our last.”
The location was convenient. My wife and I chose Drury for our Savannah stay based on family recommendations, after other hotels in a 15‑minute radius had consistently negative cleanliness reviews. Once settled in room 515 on the fifth floor, we saw blood‑stained sheets and a few minutes later my wife spotted several German cockroaches on the walls—definitely not the “Palmetto Bugs” we’re used to. We asked for a different room, but it also had obvious bodily fluid stains on the top of the sheets, impossible to miss. We left within three hours of check‑in and had to arrange to sleep on a single twin at a relative’s house. I’ve stayed at many hotels and basic hostels worldwide; Drury is the only place I’ve not felt comfortable staying the night.
