The staff were very nice and always helpful, the breakfast was great, and it’s a good spot to stay on the road if you’re visiting Leaping Tiger. I loved the Chinese layout with courtyards, and the rooms were very spacious.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, arranging transport to the lower section of Tiger Leaping Gorge, storing our luggage, and booking the return trip to Lijiang. The room was beautiful and quiet, and the breakfast was great.

Positives: the atmosphere and ambience of a medieval Chinese house, the hotel’s own grounds, large modern rooms that are well equipped, a comfortable bed and pillows, excellent housekeeping, decent breakfasts, and very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel’s star rating is too low (not every four-star can be like this). Negatives: the road in front of the hotel, on which trucks travel day and night, the hotel is far from the settlement, and walking on that road is dangerous. If the windows face the river, an unpleasant smell sometimes arises.

The stay at the hotel was wonderful. The man at reception was very helpful with arranging transport. He always asked what we needed and tried to help. The rooms were clean and tidy. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Comfortable rooms, quiet. The place sits near a village with good dining options, and the start of the tiger‑leap walk is nearby. We struggled to find the right route for the tiger‑leap, and the hotel offers no view. It’s on the main provincial road, but you barely see anything from there.
