“With the exception of breakfast and the room being open it was acceptable”
Food was less than expected; it had been sitting out for a while and didn’t look appetizing. My room was unlocked when I entered, the locks had been left open so the door wouldn’t close. I told the front desk, and they offered to change my room, but I said that wasn’t necessary; the staff member said he would inform housekeeping.

“I did not stay I left and went all the way back to Dallas”
I chose this hotel because it had a pool and a pawn check‑in. I told them I was there to use the pool, but they didn’t realize it was closed until I was already in my room. They then told me I could walk across the parking lot to a sister property to use their pool, which was a long walk. They didn’t just transfer me there when I first checked in, even though the pool was broken, and they only told me about the closure after I had changed clothes and returned to my room. I left at 10 PM because I was furious with how I was treated; I didn’t stay the night. I drove back to Dallas and called the manager the next day, but she had a bad attitude. She was a woman, and I will never stay at a Holiday Inn again.
