The hotel itself is clean and has decent facilities, and the staff are kind and pleasant. The space is minimal, with little room to store clothes or bags, and we three found it hard to do makeup or wash up. I think the staff would notice if they stayed there themselves.

I drank four bowls of miso soup for breakfast; it was the best breakfast I’ve had. Because the hotel is managed by the city of Kiyotake, it feels safe not to be driven by commercial motives, even during Silver Week.

The room was spotless and they even offered bicycles for guests, but the large public bath was out of order and nobody warned us beforehand.

The parking lot was spacious, letting me relax in a quiet, peaceful setting, and the universal‑access room was roomy and convenient; I didn’t find anything to complain about, except that the hallway at night felt a bit scary, haha.
