The digital check‑in took three times as long as the traditional one, both for guests and hotel staff, who had to call the phone line repeatedly to get the machine to work; it was just embarrassing.

Nice building, quiet street, overall the room and bathroom had the essentials; the check‑in was a bit tedious because the card‑dispensing machine failed, but the staff were very responsive. I was also able to leave my luggage at reception the next day after checkout while I caught my train. The room felt a bit cramped, the table was stuck behind the bed and when moved it blocked the entrance door—manageable but not very comfortable, and the price felt a little high for what was offered.

The rooms were spacious, bright, and very pleasant, and the location was ideal for exploring Fribourg, but the self‑check‑in needed improvement; we hit bugs just like the guests before us, and a quick call to the responsive staff fixed it fast.

The location right in the heart of the old town is gorgeous and everything is within walking distance; the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and the concierge was attentive and friendly, but for the price you get exactly what you expect.
