It’s a good place, but I didn’t go to the nearby beach so I can’t comment on that.

The room was nice, spacious, and clean, with an air conditioner, fan, and a comfortable bed; a table with a chair was nearby, and there was plenty of room for clothes. The bathroom offered a traveler kit with a razor, hairbrush, etc., and provided two large towels, two small ones, shampoo, and shower gel, but no hand soap. However, early check‑in required payment even though there was no staff waiting, which is apparently common practice in Vietnam. The washing machine in my room was broken—its display didn’t work, so I couldn’t see the mode, though there was an old washing machine in the common area that was usable. The kitchen was only for fun; there was no dish soap, no knife or frying pan, so I couldn’t buy or peel fruit. The owners said they couldn’t give me a knife for safety reasons, but I could buy kitchen utilities at a supermarket, so that safety claim didn’t help. This was very disappointing because I specifically booked the apartment for its kitchen. They suggested buying pre‑cut or pre‑cooked food, which wasn’t part of my plans. Additionally, there were no garbage bags or trash bins in the kitchen—only a small bin in the bathroom. The Wi‑Fi worked intermittently and wasn’t enough for my online work, though I had enough data. The area was filled with Russians, but that wasn’t the owners’ fault. Overall I’m not happy with the experience, and I also didn’t like the island, which further impacted my stay.

It was quiet and on the other side of the green part of the island, but there were stains on the sheets and towels.

Thanks to John and Nikita, who picked me up from the airport and arranged a scooter rental, the check‑in was a breeze; they’re genuinely caring hosts. The room was solid value, fully equipped, and the area boasts many restaurants and massage spots, all just a 5‑minute walk from the main street. The only downside was spotting a few spiders, which I expected on an island.
