Nice area and convenient
I’m not usually into reviews, but BabyBong Hostel was awesome. Rory, Harry and the whole team made you feel at home fast. The bar below is a perfect beachfront spot with good drinks, central to everything, and plenty of tuk‑tuks to hop around the island if you need. The hostel is amazing, the private room was roomy and the AC worked well. Anyone asking where to stay on Koh Rong should book here.
“Horrible”
The location was fine. I don’t understand why it gets such a high rating; it was a disaster and nothing went right. When I arrived the sheets were filthy, the dorm was full of dust and grime. The music blasted until 2 am, and when I asked to lower it after 11 pm it wasn’t done at all. I left clothes for laundry and when they returned some were missing, so I had to go back and demand them. All day the owners smoked weed in the bar/corridor, so you’ll end up breathing some of it—stay away.
