The hotel had a large bath and a clean interior, plus it was close to the station. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western dishes in plenty of variety, which I was satisfied with. The coin laundry only accepted 100 yen coins, so when I tried to make change at a nearby vending machine using a new 1000‑yen note or a new 500‑yen coin, it was rejected. A vending machine on another floor did accept the new 1000‑yen note, so I used that to get the coins I needed.

I could eat all the local ingredients I wanted, and the large bath was satisfying. It was a hassle to have to change clothes before going to the dining area; it would be nice if I could just wear my loungewear.
