The place and the facilities were good enough. The room/apartment size was good for me and my wife, and the equipment in the facilities was perfect and compact. It’s next to Transfogaras Road; it’s not loud but there is some nighttime noise, and the house isn’t well separated from another house, but for this price it’s absolutely a good value!

The location was great. I stayed one night after driving the Transfăgărășan. The tiny cabins give a special intimacy, so you’re not bothered by other guests like in a hotel or guesthouse. The room had a fridge, kettle, TV, tea sachets and a small sweet surprise from the owner. The bathroom is private, with a shower cabin. Separate from the cabins is a kitchen with a generous dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped and you can easily prepare meals. In the courtyard we found several friendly cats that brightened our stay. About 7 minutes from the lodging you can find the Albota trout farm, and on the way there you can stop at the Cârțișoara monastery, a place very well cared for by the nuns there.

Everything was fine except the shower didn’t work. The restaurant was just 5 minutes away.
