I had an amazing experience; the room was spotless and close to the castle, and the next morning we left early, but the owner and his wife had already prepared breakfast half an hour ahead of time – absolutely fantastic 👍👍👍👍
“Well looked after and great breakfast.”
The place feels like home and the hosts are wonderful. The only downside was having to walk down the side of the building to reach our room.
The rooms are very spacious, well maintained, and excellently located. Breakfast was incredible, with the owner attending to us at all times so nothing was missing. We’ll definitely return a thousand times more!
I spent my last three nights in Sri Lanka here and I can only thank Enza and Gine for welcoming me with such affection. As a solo traveler it was great to have someone to chat with who made me feel at home. The property is gorgeous and cozy, the rooms are immaculate and the bathroom even has a bidet. The location is perfect for visiting Galle Fort and enjoying Unawatuna beaches. Everything was truly perfect, including breakfast!
“Good Value”
The staff were lovely, making my husband and me feel special for our honeymoon and always eager to hear our plans for the day and help with onward travel. The hotel’s décor is nice and our room was spacious and lovely. Breakfast is great value and cooked fresh to order; as a vegan my choices were a bit limited but the fresh fruit, plenty of toast, and fresh coffee were good. The walk to the Fort is 10–15 minutes, which is fine, but be warned that the route isn’t very comfortable at night because there are no proper street lamps, a busy market, bus stops, and tuk‑tuks on the way. If that feels uneasy, hop on a tuk‑tuk. The area is noisy – we slept through and enjoyed the chanting from nearby temples 🛕, but that’s a warning. We also had trouble keeping the shower warm, which was disappointing, though the bathroom was large and the shower pressure was good.
