“Hotel básico, bien situado.”
We stayed in September and the location was good; parking was available at the door. The “mini piscina” SPA was pleasant, with two options: one on the ground floor and a small one on the roof terrace. The room and bathroom were small, and the bathroom door was very uncomfortable, interfering with the fridge. Breakfast had few options, though they were good.
“Very enjoyable stay in Santa Marta”
The staff were amazing and very accommodating; breakfast featured fresh fruit daily and the staff were friendly. On my last night the water didn’t run, but it was fine the next morning during check‑in. I’ll be honest: I stayed in room 303, which was very comfortable, but a dog barked the entire night on my last day, preventing me from sleeping; the dog was not in the hotel but a neighbor’s. The property was in the heart of the central area, so restaurants were a short walk away.
The stay was very good and it’s an ideal base for Tayrona. Santa Marta itself isn’t special, but the hotel sits on a cozy little square with restaurants within walking distance.

The location was also very good. Breakfast was limited to eggs or sandwiches; it’s hard to find a good breakfast—some croissant, budincito, or pastry would help; adding yogurt would add variety.
