This family‑run spot is genuinely friendly and helpful, and the rooms stay spotless with A/C, TV, Wi‑Fi, and a decent shaded balcony. The hosts will cook for you if you ask, and the beach is a ten‑minute walk away; head fifteen minutes south for nearby restaurants, and a little further to the shoreline opposite Sultan Battery for the regular ferry to the mainland. The place sits quietly off Mangaluru’s noise, on a natural back‑water channel between the mainland and the Arabian Sea, but it feels a bit bland. Only the northern road reaches the island, though a new bridge was still under construction in late February 2026 linking the island to the mainland just south of Sultan Battery; that bridge work has dammed the back‑water and caused some stagnation around Island Dreams Resort.
