“Great 3 weeks at Temple hotel Shoden-ji”
The location in the city was excellent, on quiet streets, and the value for money was awesome. We chatted with tourists over our three weeks in Tokyo and realized this was a great deal. I would return with no hesitation. The tracks are relatively close by Canadian standards, but space is scarce in Tokyo and there are many worse locations. We found the train noise mild and similar to the heat pump in the bedroom – not loud at all, in our opinion. It was hard to pinpoint which was which, but it wasn’t a problem for us. Finding a supermarket like we imagine in Canada was difficult. We thought a kitchen meant we’d cook, but the nearest supermarket required two buses to get there, near Mita station, which was okay. Three days before we left we discovered the Life store, Tamashi Station tower, about 800 m away. I haven’t checked if the apartment’s documents mentioned it, but Google Maps didn’t show it, or maybe I wasn’t efficient in my searches. Whatever the reason, I wish we’d been told about that great store near us earlier. This is a suggestion to help future guests. Also, there was a glitch with the dining set shown in the pictures when we rented; it seems that set/space is only present in one of the two flats. We had the other one. Luckily the owners helped us with that and we could sit down for our morning and evening meals. Great help from them, thank you again.
