“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at”

The roof stayed dry, but the staff were rude and cigarette butts littered the entrance area. There was no coffee in the room, and both days the breakfast items were “out of stock”; only water was offered at breakfast. The room’s cubbyhole felt cramped, parking was hard to navigate, the place smelled bad, and the shower water was just warm, not hot. I paid $270 for two nights in Johnstown for a room and hotel of this quality, which is outrageous. I won’t return to Red Roof Inns and strongly advise against staying there.

The location was convenient, yet at check‑in I was told the building was no‑smoking. Even though I’m not a smoker, the elevator and hallways carried a strong menthol scent that seeped into my room.

I never actually stayed at that hotel; they cancelled my reservation on the same day, forcing me to scramble for another place at the last minute, which was awful.
