“Insgesamt hatte ich schöne Tage”
The hotel’s location was very good and central, and the breakfast was also very good; however, on the main street there were fewer seating areas and no flowers.

The location was good and the breakfast excellent, but the room was very small.

The hotel sits perfectly on the edge of Friedrichstraße (Ladenstraße/foot‑traffic zone in Westerland) and about a 2‑minute walk from the North Sea beach. Your car can be parked directly at the hotel for an extra fee. Our double room wasn’t huge, but it offered ample storage and luggage space (wall wardrobe with sliding doors, desk, bedside tables with drawers). The furnishings and walls are bright, simple, and classic in typical Frisian style. The bathroom, however, features modern fixtures and a generously sized shower. The TV is wall‑mounted, not adjustable, yet it’s well positioned from the bed (many public and private channels are available). The mattresses were firm enough for our needs, giving good sleep comfort, while the pillows were a bit too soft (as in many other hotels). Our balcony‑room faced a courtyard with neighboring buildings and garages, but blinds and curtains on the window and balcony door provided sufficient privacy. Despite the room’s location, we were lucky to avoid any disturbing outside noise from people or cars; only a weaver’s nest on a nearby roof with young animals caused louder sounds during the night with the window open—this is part of Sylt, and the hotel can’t control it. The room was very clean and cleaned daily; the hotel breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. We didn’t use the wellness services like sauna and massages, so we can’t comment on those. The hotel staff were friendly and attentive. The only drawback: no air‑conditioning in the room, which is increasingly important on the North Sea island of Sylt, especially for a high‑end 4‑star hotel.

Great location, everything within walking distance. Good breakfast with plenty of choices and fresh fruit. The armchairs in our room were greasy, the bathroom was small but renovated. It’s a shame the reception only stays open until about 18 h, but that seems to be a staffing issue; the staff usually come from the mainland daily.

Breakfast was excellent. The staff were very friendly. A rain shower would be great, like in the upgraded rooms.
