We only liked the Šumava area. The place turned out to be a set of tourist rooms, not a private apartment – the bathroom was on a shared hallway and the kitchen was shared with another room. When you book an apartment you expect everything to be yours, so the lack of privacy was a real downside.

The pension sits in a quiet spot, which is great. The only gripe is the tiny table and those minuscule chair‑bench combos in the room – not much space to set up.

The spot is great for the nearby tourist sites, and the hut area is nice to sit in. The rooms were clean, WiFi worked, but the listing was misleading – it called a 5‑bed apartment, yet it was a family room with two separate beds in one room and a single plus bunk in another. Each floor had two rooms with their own bathroom but you had to go through a shared hallway that also had a fridge and kitchenette.

The place is perfect for exploring the area, the rooms are clean, the kitchenette is handy, and the host is lovely.
