There wasn’t much to do there; the room itself was clean and presentable, but the bed (two joined singles) was uncomfortable and sagged so much that I kept rolling in the middle. With nothing else to do, I spent 90 % of my time at the pub.

The place sits in a solid spot, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. However, I got way too many emails before and during my stay, the toilet cistern was hanging off the wall, the shower door wouldn’t shut, and a cupboard door needed fixing.

The location, check‑in process, room size and natural light, and the great family vibe were positives. The bathrooms are starting to look really dingy, and the TV only had ABC channels to watch.
