The bathroom was great, but the pillow on the bed was uncomfortable and the breakfast price was high.

Everything was clean and the staff were extremely friendly; the mattress was good—since I'm on the heavier side I prefer a firmer surface, and that worked well. 👍 However, the room matched the price, so if you expect a suite on the Alster for that rate, double‑check the prices. I had no complaints.
The overall experience was just okay: the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly, but everything feels a bit worn and could use a refresh. The hotel definitely needs a modernization.
