“Super!”
The place was spotless and had a great design 😊, but there were only two pillows for the chairs, so sitting was a bit uncomfortable ;-)

Getting to 直島 was easy, and there were no other issues.

The owner was very friendly and the kids’ area was a big plus, but the dryness was terrible and it hurt my throat; a humidifier would have helped. The entrance felt a bit insecure, a sofa in the living room would have been nice, and the counter table and chair height made dining awkward.

The spot felt cozy and was super close to the port and several restaurants, which I really liked! I just wished there were places to hang clothes and more storage.

The location was excellent—just a few minutes from Uno port, perfect for the art islands, and close to the station and shops. The apartment was beautifully designed, and the host handled feedback well, checking the listing herself and telling me what she was changing. However, the design was great but the equipment was lacking; for a four‑night self‑catering stay, several basics were missing. Most importantly, the property is actually two separate units, and the one with the terrace has no kitchen facilities, which is easy to miss when booking and has surprised other guests too. If you need a kitchen, double‑check which unit you’re booking. We were also told not to dispose of food waste in the apartment, so in practice you can’t really eat there. The listing mentions a rooftop terrace, but it’s just an empty roof with nothing on it; with two chairs and some shade it could be the best feature of the place. We booked four nights but left after three.
