The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel—poor selection and the fridge had no spreads. I had to point out to staff that the coffee machine wasn’t working. The staff and facilities felt impersonal. We had no hot water in the room when we arrived after cycling 80 km; a notice on the elevator door mentioned maintenance at the water plant, but the hotel should have warned guests earlier. We paid full price. The sink was almost completely clogged, which was depressing. Compensation would have been appropriate for the inconvenience.

The rating of 8.0/10 was actually lower than what the experience felt like, and the hotel and the room looked a little worn out; a renovation would be much appreciated, especially since there aren't many accommodation options in Roskilde.
