This Superior Double Room sleeps 2 guests and has a bath, free toiletries, hairdryer, toilet, and towels in its bathroom, along with a clothes rack and pants press. The room features a desk, flat-screen TV, telephone, wardrobe or closet, ironing facilities, heating, electric kettle, and fan. It is carpeted and has a socket near the bed. Note that pets cannot be accommodated in this room, and the upper floors are accessible by stairs only.

“Won't be back”
The staff were very friendly, but the bed in room 6 was uncomfortable, the curtains lacked lining so light and road noise seeped in, and the bathroom was filthy with many spiders. The plumbing made awful noises, the doors kept slamming because they didn’t have soft closers, and the keyhole was so exposed that we had to stuff tissue in it to block the view from outside. Plus, there was only one chair for two guests, which was not acceptable.
I was greeted warmly, and the young man at the desk was exceptionally helpful, sharing a wealth of knowledge about the area. Nothing else to report.

The location was great, rooms were very pretty and clean, and every staff member was friendly. I enjoyed watching the reindeers and the food was excellent, especially breakfast. The rooms need larger bins because daily maid service isn’t provided, and the tiny bins are inadequate. Also, a wider selection of evening menu items would be welcome.

There was no breakfast, the room was small and cold, and I would never stay there again. The lack of warmth or even blankets, combined with the £94 price, made the experience very poor.

The guest rooms were housed in small cabins within a lovely, park‑like garden. From the outside everything looked very nice and appealing, and the other guests were considerate and quiet. However, the furnishings and sanitary facilities no longer meet modern standards. Reception staff were friendly, but the chef who prepared and served breakfast was rather stale. One night was acceptable, yet the cabins smelled damp and the ceiling in the breakfast area crumbled.
