The setting is lovely and the room is spacious and comfortable. Navigation around is very difficult and a lot of walking is involved.

“Underwhelming for the price”

The staff were nice and let us check into our room early, which was appreciated. The hotel is fairly close to the airport, which is why we stayed for one night. The rooms are quite outdated for the price. The bathtub/shower did not drain, so even a short shower left you standing in a pool of water. The bathroom door stopper didn’t work, so the door wouldn’t stay open or allow air out. We dined at the hotel and the experience was very underwhelming; the burger was very hard. If you’re allergic to animals, consider asking for a pet‑free room, as my allergies flared up in the room and I should have asked about this beforehand.

“Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The food is not satisfactory for this level of resort”

The historic property and room are stunning, staff are very friendly and the grounds are beautiful. I was very disappointed with the Brasserie: my Scottish mussels were undercooked, the food quality was poor, and I had to wait a long time for servers while larger parties were prioritized. I returned two dishes and only one was removed from my bill. The apple crisp sundae had about four apple slices and no crisp on top, and the food was undersalted. I expected higher quality for this resort level. My bathroom was also not clean to my satisfaction and the mattress was very uncomfortable.

bella struttura pulita e curata con uno splendido parco distante dal centro circa 30 minuti in auto. di fatto non abbiamo dormito nel castello come sembrava dalle foto al momento della prenotazione ma in una struttura attigua raggiungibile tramite un lungo percorso interno
