A traditional hotel situated in a fantastic spot by the lake, at the valley’s end with hiking and biking trails nearby. The 1900 building will be completely rebuilt in 2027.

The place is well‑located, the room is pretty, the view is wonderful, the staff are nice, and the atmosphere feels very cozy. The shower is clean, but there is mold in one area.

Old, but full of character – the rooms are surprisingly roomy and well‑furnished. The owners put a lot of thought into little touches in the hallways and rooms, making the place feel warm and welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were top quality. The only hiccup was that the TV can only be seen from the sofa, not from the bed – not a huge deal.

A charming spot, right in the heart of town with a warm welcome and friendly staff. The breakfast is hearty and the menu offers delicious dishes. Plus, you get a Gstaad card for free bus rides and the regional postal bus – just ask at reception. Everything is perfect, so we’ll definitely come back.

A simple, historic hotel a bit off the main bustle in the tiny village of Lauenen. The owner is friendly, the breakfast buffet is solid, and everything feels honest and straightforward. The rooms are old but clean, with a nice mountain view – perfect for hikers and a relaxing break. The downside was that the bathroom is on the floor and we didn’t have running water in our room, but we knew that beforehand.
