Hotel Berg by Keflavik Airport

“Nice hotel with friednly and helpful staff and a rooftop hot pool.”

The hotel is small but good. The room was spacious with good amenities. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant food was good. The hotel shuttle was excellent. The rooftop pool was a nice touch—quite small (more of a hot tub than a pool), but it wasn't busy when we were there. Our room overlooked the car park, so it was a little noisy at times with people arriving and leaving throughout the night. We had the window open because the room was quite warm. It isn’t the cheapest place, but then nothing is in Iceland.

“Migliorabile”

The pool (even though it was a bit dirty) and the common areas were good. The rooms lacked soundproofing, total lack of privacy, the room window was completely transparent and on the ground floor, facing the common area… with the lights on you can see everything. The pool is very nice but a little dirty.

Airport transfer about 5 minutes was good, especially if you have an early flight. However, the downside of an "airport hotel" is that if you want to visit the capital, the bus fare for a one‑way trip is about 35 euros.

“La junior suite e' su due piani, attenzione.”

The place sits close to the airport and offers a pleasant view of a small harbor. The junior suite is on the second floor and the narrow steps to the upper level where the bed is can be risky; my husband and I, not being very young, used the bathroom at night and nearly slipped.

“Excellent hotel.”

Arrived late at KEV airport, but the hotel was spotless and the breakfast selection was solid. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Unfortunately the shuttle was not running at that hour, so we had to take a taxi that cost ISK 5,950 for a 4 km ride—quite pricey.
