Hotel San Ramon

San Ramon is in a great location. We walked from one end of Bisbee to the other. The facility is older, but kept in very good condition. We've stayed here before, and would probably prefer one of the bigger rooms the next time we visit. The bed (one of two full beds) was not the greatest; replacing mattresses would be a good idea. Also, the tub faucet was very hard to move and adjust. The stairway is steep, and bringing luggage up or down was done very carefully. We understand that this comes with an older, historic building, but watch out!

“Old hotel building from 1905 now modernised and in a great location”

Location was superb. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The room felt a bit cramped, there was no one on site, which could have been a security issue. Entrance was gained by code with online check‑in. Rather impersonal, but maybe I’m old fashioned.

The room and common areas have a carefully crafted decor that really enhances the charm of Bisbee, and the large windows give lovely views of the nearby park and street below; several eateries are just a short walk away. The steep, narrow stairs leading up to the rooms were a bit of a challenge, but that’s part of the historic vibe.

My wife and I appreciated the spaciousness and cleanliness of the place, but the fact that there was only one coffee pod in the coffee pot meant we could only make one cup between us. The washcloths on the wall rack looked wet, so I wasn’t sure if they were clean or just freshly hung. We couldn’t find parking for our car and had to park four blocks away. Paying $200 for the room felt overpriced and outrageous, even though it was convenient for the wedding we were attending just down the street. I would never stay here again or recommend it if I ever return to Bisbee.
