This old manor in a quiet part of Guwahati feels like a retreat. The rooms were tidy and cozy, the bathrooms clean, and the showers supplied hot water. The kitchen offered a microwave, tap water, tea and coffee. A comfy lounge with sofas and a table was available for eating or working. The area is a peaceful residential zone with plenty of shops, other hotels, and a nearby temple that occasionally hosts singing and chanting. The main station is a ten‑minute auto ride away. It’s a solid choice for staying in Guwahati away from the city’s hustle. Both private rooms and dormitories were up to standard.

“Good property - not sure about the staff though”

The place looks great and the common areas are nice. The owner never answered my calls, so when I needed to leave in the morning I got locked inside the gate and my cab driver had to wait outside for a while; it seems the owner blocks residents. A neighbour finally helped me out, and I just managed to catch my flight on time.

The staff were lovely and the house is beautiful, with a great kitchen area. The AC wasn’t very strong in our room, so check in advance if it works for you; I’m sure other rooms have better power.
