Excellent location with great sea views, a nice garden, and outdoor seating areas. It feels a bit tired and some areas could use a makeover.

Loved the whole stay. We understood that that there were new owners and modernisation was under way and should be fantastic when completed. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble for them, friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean, lovely, fluffy white towels. Food delicious and the platters were enormous, 1 would have been enough for us to share. Beautiful views, plenty of parking and a short downhill walk to a beach with carparking and restaurant. Dogs really welcomed. Felt as if we were family rather than visitors. Thank you. Because of the age of the building there is no lift and a lot of steps, something to consider if mobility problems. Saying that I managed and the new management were looking into what they could provide in the future. It wouldn't stop me returning

Excellent location, just a short stroll to the beach in a scenic setting. The staff were friendly and the hotel is family‑run. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing to add.

We spent three lovely days here; the location and staff are great. The rooms were clean, the soft beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was local and very tasty. The only downside was that everything felt a bit dated.

A warm welcome, attentive staff, good breakfast, and a great spot for exploring the Dorset coast. The bar closed at 9 pm and only served bar food—last orders were at 8 pm. At the time of my stay the place was under new ownership, and I understood there were plans for property upgrades, a later bar opening, and restaurant food in the coming months.
