The breakfast café is very good. The accommodations are excellent, and the location is nice, right in front of the Olefants river. We could see elephants and hippos from the restaurant and the room terrace. The lunch could be better—there’s a bit too little food and no options. I’m not sure if it’s because the safari ends at 15:00 and lunch is served at 14:00, but the hotel should rethink lunch and offer a few more dishes.

The place was spectacular: beautiful, comfortable, good food, and friendly staff. I had to change my arrival date for work reasons (in advance) but couldn't, and lost the already paid nights.

“Se você prioriza safari,. existem opções melhores”

The food was decent, but spending 20 hours driving around a self‑styled Big 5 reserve gave me nothing but one rhino, one buffalo, a few elephants, giraffes, kudus and impalas—no lions or leopards. That was a big let‑down after crossing the ocean for a safari, as animal sightings were sparse. The rangers were all over the place; most drove at about 30 mph and couldn’t locate any game, only one really put in effort. I can’t recommend this lodge for safari purposes. The meals and drinks were fine and the staff tried hard, yet it didn’t meet my expectations. We’ll definitely look to other African countries for real wildlife.

“Espetacular”

Our time there was simply amazing—the whole crew earned praise for their care, attention and friendliness throughout the visit. The safaris stood out, especially since we had a different driver each day, making every outing feel unique; all were dedicated and experienced, and we especially want to thank Linda for her impressive knowledge, superb animal‑spotting skills and contagious cheer. The lodge itself is spectacular, the rooms ultra‑comfortable, the food excellent, and both the lodging and restaurant overlook a river, letting us watch wildlife while eating and even from the bedroom. It was a one‑of‑a‑kind experience in Kruger that blew past our expectations, and we’d recommend it without hesitation and hope to return soon. As a suggestion, adding a second shower inside the accommodation would make group stays more comfortable, and we only saw two of the Big Five, which we understand is part of nature’s unpredictability, yet the whole trip was still well worth it and we’d definitely go back.
