“Loved every minute we spent there!”
The Riverside property turned out to be a real highlight of our trip; the owners are friendly, helpful, and interesting, and the grounds are much larger than expected, offering a garden, a chicken coop, and an intriguing old building that’s a classical Irish ruin. They shared fascinating stories about the main house’s varied past—restaurant, disco, and more—along with how they came to own the estate, and they also bring fresh jelly and jam from the garden each morning. The river view and wildlife are stunning, so I highly recommend a visit and plan to return when I’m in the area. The only minor snag was that the main entry off the road was a bit hard to locate at first, but it was easy to find after the first attempt.
