We loved the friendly staff and the upgraded room with a bath that the manager offered us. It was very clean. The bathroom doorway was too low, causing several head bumps on the first day. The price for the stay was quite high if you don't include breakfast, and we found better value at other stops during our trip.

Ideally located for exploring the Cotswolds, this hotel met all our expectations. The on‑site restaurant was delicious, the breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly. We had booked a room with a bathtub and shower that felt like a small suite, and it stayed cool even in hot weather. A very good choice!
