Il Poggio B&B

“Wunderschöner Rückzugsort mit viel Ruhe.”

A beautiful place to relax and unwind! We enjoyed our stay from the very first moment and felt at home. The lovely quiet invites you to leave everyday worries behind and just let your soul unwind. At the same time the accommodation is an ideal starting point for varied excursions around the area. We especially want to highlight the excellent breakfast and the delicious cappuccino – a perfect start to the day! We really enjoyed the time and can recommend this accommodation without reservation. We’ll be happy to return! Unfortunately, using the shower was very unpleasant due to the very low water pressure and the strong temperature swings between ice‑cold and very hot. Unfortunately the problem wasn’t fixed during our stay. From our point of view this needs improvement so that future guests can fully enjoy their stay.

The host was excellent and the old building is stunning, full of history, with big grounds and a natural swimming pool; breakfast was nice, the beds were huge, the rooms were large, and the host’s recommendation of a local restaurant was spot‑on—we went back twice, the owner and staff were really nice, and I’d recommend this place for a great stay. The Wi‑Fi was patchy and the road up to the property was long and a bit rough on our motorcycles.

The location is beautiful and quiet, and Babette was welcoming and kind.

There was no air conditioning, so during the hot summer I couldn’t sleep all night and sweated all over; the window’s bug‑proofing was inadequate, and mosquitoes bit me in the evening—an awful day.

The atmosphere was very tranquil.
