The staff at Wave Loom Hostel are what give the place its soul and make it truly special
The chill vibes are part of the family and the hostel! The crew is the nicest on earth! I recommend it wholeheartedly! You feel at home from the first step in. You can ask anything, they’re there to help and take care of you like a family member. Just wonderful.

The location is great and the host is friendly and organizes everything you want to do. I booked the girls’ dorm but ended up in a 12‑person mixed dorm where the first night there were also two guys, and the host even stayed there. In the end it wasn’t a big deal because no one else had booked and we were alone the rest of the time. It didn’t look like the pictures, and even though the host is nice I wouldn’t book it again because it’s not fair to give misleading information.
The place is great, right on the main road in Arugam, and the staff are fantastic—always ready and super helpful. The room was simple but the bathroom was clean. We didn’t try the food, but the prices were definitely cheaper than the average in the bay, so that’s a plus. In the morning you wake up to incense drifting through the air. Highly recommended!
