“A decent stay outside the city center”

The hotel sits right beside a metro stop and a small mountain is just across the road, while a cluster of nice local restaurants is a 15‑minute walk northeast near the university. Breakfast was mostly Chinese‑style, which was a unique touch. The room’s soundproofing was weak; we were next to the elevator and could hear people and the robot at all hours, and the staff didn’t lower the robot’s volume like other hotels do late at night.

The breakfast spread was generous, the room was clean and the staff were extremely helpful; I’m especially grateful to Ms Shen Wanling at the front desk, who spent almost an hour assisting me in contacting DiDi to retrieve an important item lost in a taxi, and even called after I checked out to make sure the item had been recovered – such thoughtful service, thank you, I’ll definitely stay again.

“Wrong address, see my comment”

The staff were friendly, but the address listed was incorrect—it’s actually near Kutao subway station. Using AMap (https://surl.amap.com/nrW9TH312gID) shows the right spot. After reaching out multiple times via the Booking App, I got no reply. I couldn’t pay with my credit card; the staff insisted on Alipay, and their card reader failed to read my IC card even though credit‑card payments are supposedly accepted. We stayed on the 16th floor, where shower water pressure fluctuated between hot and cold. The washer and dryer worked well, but breakfast quality lagged behind other Holiday Inns we’d visited. The location suits congress‑center guests, but tourists would be better off closer to the city center. For under 60 € per night it’s a fair deal.
