Fairfield by Marriott Issaquah

The location was great for travelling east on I‑90. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. However the cleaning supplies used in the pet‑friendly room were pretty potent, and our early check‑in request was graciously received. The friendly staff gave us the option to stay on the first or second floor; I chose the first, but in hindsight that was a poor choice because of the chemicals used and their potency in the recently cleaned room. The strong chemical scent could have been mitigated with an air purifier, and the unit given to us was not safely approved for use while people were in the room.

I’ve had better breakfasts at McDonald’s. Disappointing. When there was any breakfast meat, it was the least appetizing sausage I’ve ever seen, and powdered eggs? I wish there had been more variety. The room was nice and the staff were friendly but ineffective. I never could connect to the internet, and when I called the “service” number I couldn’t understand the representative; English was clearly her second language and poorly learned. When I went to the front desk for help, the clerk was friendly but had no solution. While I was there, another guest was having the same problem and he said another employee had told him his room was probably “out of range” of the router. If that is the case, then your statement of “free wifi” is misleading at best. In any case, I never could get the issue resolved, and my next stay will be at a Hilton property, or maybe even Motel 6. Certainly not Marriott!

“Useless”

Nothing positive. The price was so high and it didn’t offer the quality.

“Avoid this place. Terrible customer service. Nothing was stocked. $50/day additional fee rip off.”

The room was comfortable and the location was good near Lake Sammamish Park. Coffee was always empty and there were no coffee cups—suggested using plastic juice cups. Breakfast was minimal; hot food items weren’t stocked. Only bagels and waffles were available, and there was a $50/day additional fee—ridiculous.
