Great location, though we were worried when the driver told us he couldn’t drop us off at the gate because access is restricted to authorized cars. Still, he left us about 100 m away at the main square of the Pelourinho, and a hotel staff member came to pick us up and carry our luggage. The area is heavily policed. Even though our room faced the street, nothing could be heard thanks to the thick walls and the two double‑glazed windows—one facing the street and one interior. Breakfast was simple but adequate, and the setting was very pleasant. All staff were very kind. I have nothing to add at this point.
