The place sits right above Hongik University station, above the AK Plaza mall which is great for souvenir shopping, a CU on the first floor is always well stocked, Red Road is very close, and there are plenty of coffee spots nearby. I liked everything – the view was spectacular, I could see Namsan Tower from my room, the room smelled great, and it was extremely clean.

The metro station is right nearby and the rooms were spotless; I really liked how friendly and helpful the staff were. The bed linen and pillows were top quality.

The place and its comfort are good, but the booking wasn’t clear – you have to be careful because there are different room types, some without an external window but facing the inner hall, and they’re priced the same on Booking. If you ask to switch rooms on the spot, you’ll have to pay an extra 20 euros per night. Customer satisfaction isn’t a priority. Don’t eat too late for breakfast because the room is huge and gets very noisy during peak hours.

The spot is super close to the metro stop in lively Hongdae. The staff are kind. The rooms are welcoming and bigger than average. The continental breakfast is lacking in the sweet section.
