I stayed at an old, rural inn close to a highway and it was easy to spot. The parking was large and getting to the rooms was a breeze. The staff were friendly and the food was fresh and tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Compact rooms occupy a newly converted stable block, featuring 32‑inch flat‑screen HD TVs, power showers, and Wi‑Fi. Located six minutes from Exeter Airport and a ten‑minute drive from Exeter city centre, the Blue Ball Inn offers easy access to the Exeter Chiefs’ rugby stadium, Devon’s beaches, and local attractions. Meals are served at the adjoining pub and sister venue, The Puffing Billy.

The room was lovely, spotless, and well presented. The staff greeted us warmly. The pub had a charming beer garden, and we enjoyed both the evening meal and breakfast without any complaints about the food. I would definitely return and highly recommend it. The only downside was the Wi‑Fi in the room, which was very weak.

I had a nice room and the location was quiet. This was my second stay, and I plan to come back again.

The room was beautifully decorated, calm, and the bed was very comfortable. All the comforts were generous, with tea, coffee, and water provided, and there were no stairs or a lift needed to reach our room. The staff were helpful and relaxed, and everything was pleasant. The breakfast was great and the prices for food and drink were very reasonable. The only issue was that the bathroom was slightly small; we were on the roadside but still slept well.

The pub was excellent, with lovely staff and great food. It was a warm night, and because the room was on the ground floor, it was uncomfortable to sleep with the windows open. It wasn’t a major problem, but perhaps an air‑con unit or at least window locks that let the windows stay slightly open would help.
