“Waterfall adventure and wonderful hospitality”

The property’s grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and we loved the hike down to the waterfalls where our guide shared a ton of rainforest facts. You can tell the Figues family has put a lot of love into the place – the deck was the perfect spot to unwind after a long trek. It makes an ideal pit‑stop whether you’re heading to the Caribbean side or coming back from San José, and the gallo pinto they serve is hands‑down the best we’ve had in Costa Rica.

“Muy mala experiencia”

I was really disappointed – the room didn’t have hot water, there was no mirror for shaving, no trash bin, and it lacked any blankets or duvets. To make matters worse, they didn’t provide dinner at all.

The lodge is still in its early phase, but you can already feel the owners’ dedication; the surroundings are stunning and the walk to the waterfalls lets you soak up tons of flora and fauna. It’s clear the family is trying to protect the environment and share that vision with guests. On the flip side, staff could be better informed about food allergies and offer gluten‑free choices, and it would be nice to let pets stay overnight rather than just on the hikes.
