The spot is great, right in Chinatown, and the shared shower costs only for two rooms. The host is very kind, but she doesn’t speak English and the rooms lack soundproofing.

“Good for one or two nights”

The place is well positioned near public transport and Chinatown. You must take off shoes before going upstairs, yet the stairs are in bad shape and noisy. Toilet paper was almost nonexistent. Noise is a major problem: neighbors are audible through the walls, and the constant stomping from above rattles the room. Facilities are very basic. The front desk staff are friendly but rarely present and speak limited English. Air circulation is poor, and the only window near the bathroom is often shut by others. Towels are supplied, but there’s no soap or other necessities.

I chose this hotel because it’s in my favorite Bangkok neighborhood, so the location was the main reason. It’s quiet, the room is clean, and the AC works well. The bathroom walls don’t reach the ceiling, so privacy is poor, and the walls themselves are very dirty. There was no toilet paper. The room is on the corridor, so you can’t open the curtains without everyone seeing you. It’s also very basic: no lamp, no tissues, no water, no soap, no kettle, no fridge—just a bed, a small table, and a coat rack. The staff are never around; it was annoying to check in because you have to call the hosts via WhatsApp and wait 15 minutes for them to open the door.
