Hotel Goldene Sonne

We had a completely pleasant stay in this charming hotel right in the heart of Arnstadt’s old town. The historic building, with its special history—rumored to have hosted the Bach family—gives the place a unique atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was varied and tasty. Our room wasn’t large, but it was cosy and practical. The small steps in the room were a bit of an adjustment at first, but they’re part of the historic charm. We missed a hairdryer, though we didn’t ask for one. The beds were very comfortable, so we slept wonderfully. Free parking right in front of the hotel on weekends was also very convenient for us. Overall, we felt very comfortable and would gladly return.

“Wir kommen gerne wieder .”

The central location, the free courtyard parking, and the nostalgic dining room where we could have breakfast really stood out to us. The bathroom was spotless but a bit cramped.

The breakfast spread was very generous with a wide variety, all of which tasted great. The service was very attentive and everything was impeccable. The room was nicely furnished and extremely clean, and we slept wonderfully in those beds. Nothing to complain about!

“Superschön!”

We were welcomed warmly and felt very at home; every question was answered immediately with helpful tips. The breakfast was excellent, served by friendly staff, and the selection was very good. The parking entrance was a bit confusing, but that’s minor compared to the overall positivity and the host’s guidance.
