The owner was very friendly and helpful and made a lovely continental breakfast. The animals at the house were a welcome treat, well behaved and extra cute. The facilities were spacious with heritage charm, well maintained for a 200‑year‑old house. There’s a full bathroom with bath and shower, a comfortable bed with plenty of warm blankets, a lounge with TV and WiFi, a small fridge, microwave, and a tea and coffee station with lovely rusks. The garden is beautiful with oak trees and resident squirrels. The only issue was the creaky bed; the wooden frame makes a noise every time someone turns in their sleep, which can wake a lighter sleeper. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay, and we’ll definitely book there again if we’re in Wellington.

We had an amazing time at this super cute house, surrounded by a beautiful garden and a pool that was perfect for relaxing. The family who owns the place was incredibly helpful and welcoming, always making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was incredible, with fresh fruits, homemade granola, and all sorts of tasty treats. And the best part? We had the whole place to ourselves, since there are only two rooms, making it feel like a private villa.
